Say what's around it: fence, sprinkler heads, a gas meter. 2 ### Get a price The estimate is free. Grinding is priced on its own; sod, drainage, or anything else you want after is priced on its own too, so you can take one without the other. 3 ### Job day The grinder comes through the gate on tracks, the stump goes to chips, and the chips get raked level into the hole. A typical yard stump takes well under an hour on the machine; the setup and the walk-in are where the time goes.
